Carolinians tend to celebrate by cooking a pig. This past weekend was no exception.

Ingredients:

1 pig

70 or so family and friends

2 or more recent graduate students (who received their degrees earlier that day)

1 well stocked bar

Cohiba Siglo IVs

Mix until well blended

The vultures could not keep out long enough for me to take a pic. The pooled "sweat" is Carolina Sauce recently applied.

Rockin the BBS RS wheels on the cooker... Only in the South :rotfl:

It had to be done!!! I found those at a yard sale for $25, wrapped them in new rubber, and bam, have a cooker any southern gentleman could be proud.

I am working on engineering a smoke box for the back. Right now, I have a door and use a cast iron pot inside for wood. A smoke box would make things much easier to load/clean.

The gas props were off an old tonneau cover which I recently had welded on the side. It sure beats the old counterweight/bar on the back lid of the cooker, which I cut off.

The chrome exhaust were free--took the cooker up to the local exhaust shop and offered to make them BBQ if the made the exhaust. Needless to say, the pipe was bent in less than 20 minutes.
