Wanted to share a drink and smoke combo that worked out very well last nite. Blended up a Pina Colada for two and paired that with PSD4 (unknown box date from FOH robusto sampler). PSD4 was well balanced, with deep flavors of tobacco, espresso and cedar wood. Very smooth. The Pina Colada's sweetness and cool coconut, provided a nice compliment to the PSD4 power. Really felt toasty and satisfied.

Pina Colada Recipe for 2:

Combine 4 ounces Coco Lopez (Cream of Coconut) with 3 ounces Doles pineapple juice. Add 2 cups of ice, 2 jiggers (3 ounces) of Barbancourt Rhum 5 Star and blend well (slushy consistency).

That's the beauty of this thing of ours --- everyone's palate is correct for their tastes.....

I prefer my cigars with a nice Port or Single Malt Whisky or Cognac or Bourbon - that works for me as the Pina Colada works for you.... and we're both 'right'... :D

I've never had Cognac; I've been meaning to try it. Other than that, my thoughts exactly!

if one gets bored - not that it ever happens - with the mojitos at the nacional, they also make great pina coladas. i recall a famous fly casting competition in the grounds of the hotel, which soon drew a crowd of tens, inspired and fueled by a combo of mojitos and pinas and conducted with cigars at all times. they certainly work there.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one out there into Pina coladas and cigars. I'm jealous, I would love to partake of both on the forbidden island.

This sounds like a awesome idea! The sweet, cool creaminess in my mind

Seems like it would go great with a potent spicy smoke. Must try!

Wouldn't the icy cold of the frozen pina colada dull the taste buds a bit?

You might have a point there. Hmmm I wonder how a pina coloda

Tastes on the rocks rather than blended?

looking over the Malecon, Pina Colada (made by Carlos/Morro) from the Nacional in one hand, Cigar in the other.
