Trevor2118 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I have just put together a list of Commemorative Humidors The intention was to get a personal indication of the relative rareness of particular releases, as I am currently trying to obtain some of the rarer cigars. This list is not part of my website. Thought it might be usefull to others. This list may be copied to other Forums. Release.................................................................. Ken Gargett Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 terrific stuff, trev. but it just goes to show how devalued the commemorative release is, with that number. fidel stubs his toe and out comes a new humidor. also, if there are only 200 trini farmhouses, i'll swim to havana. i reckon i've seen close to 200 in havana alone.
Ken Gargett Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 it would be very interesting if any members with experience of any of them posted thoughts. we could start to put together an idea of the across the board quality of these releases and find out the stars. i've been meaning to suggest something similar with LE's as well.

Re Trinidad. 200 numbered releases from memory. 400 un numbered Farhouses were released later. Brilliant marketing
Fatcigar Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I have just put together a list of the commemorative humidors etc (but excluding LE's, RE's & similar). The intention was to get an indication of the relative rareness of particular releases, as I am currently trying to obtain some of the rarer cigars. Thought it might be usefull to others. This list may be copied to other Forums. Release.................................................................. Number 2001 - Trinidad Farm House Humidor -est?....................200 2000 - Habano Festival 2000 Humidor est 500?.............500 2004 - Bolivar 5th Avenue Germany ..........................1000 IMHO, the list may be divided into two. Namely Commemorative Limited Humidors and Limited Releases (ex-ELs & ERs). 2001 - Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor (numbered) - 100. 2000 - II Habanos Festival 2000 - (IMHO, it is not a humidor, it's just a box of commemorative cigars; definitely more than 500 because 3 persons i know of have 350 boxes). 2004 - Do you mean Bolivar Gold Medal by 5th Avenue Germany??
Trevor2118 Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 Re Trinidad. 200 numbered releases from memory. 400 un numbered Farmhouses were released later. Brilliant marketing This is very interesting. The original Habanos news release stated 100 cases for LCDH. BTW this release note has been overwritten on the Habanos website by some strange one-off humidor (but I keep printed copies of these pages). I thought that there was another 100 released later. The 400 is interesting. Can anyone with a numbered Trinidad Farmhouse advise what the numbering system is?

Hi Hamilton, IMHO, the list may be divided into two. Namely Commemorative Limited Humidors and Limited Releases (ex-ELs & ERs). The list should actually be Commemorative Releases. Have a look at my recently updated releases section at: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/5-releases.htm. The purpose of this list was to obtain a comparative cost of cigars that I am trying to obtain (assuming that this equates to the scarcity of a release). 2001 - Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor (numbered) - 100. Yes this was my info also. Rob advises that another 400 unnumbered were later released. 2000 - II Habanos Festival 2000 - (IMHO, it is not a humidor, it's just a box of commemorative cigars; definitely more than 500 because 3 persons i know of have 350 boxes). released. Yes, this is a varnished Boite nature box, not a humidor. This the first time I have seen any figures at all. Any idea on the total number of boxes that were produced? And as an aside, I have been trying to obtain a single cigar of this release (with no success) so I am amazed at the indicated quantity. 2004 - Do you mean Bolivar Gold Medal by 5th Avenue Germany?? Yes. Regards, Trevor PS> I hope CCW is coming through loud & clear over there now.

I have had another look at this list and I should have called then Special Releases (has been done with an edit), but that got me to think about my current arrangement of these items on my website. I believe that the above comment is valid, that Commemorative Releases should become Commemorative Humidors and everything else go into the Other Special Releases Category. I was also thinking of a special category of Rare Commemorative Humidors (numbers of 50 or less), simply so these cigars can be separated out then doing an advanced search. My thinking was here that it is rather pointless in generating a list containing the almost 200 cigars from the 21 Siglo XXI Millennium Humidor. With the advance search feature the cigars can then be excluded or included. Comments appreciated!

IM'very'HO, your great website should avoid the area of market pricing, just the fact Jack !! Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor (numbered) is 100. I have one of each (numbered & un-numbered). No idea on un-numbered ones, HSA did not release actual numbers. II Habanos Festival 2000 was initially launched during the II Festival. Due to many special millenium releases & EL items etc, the merchants were mostly focusing on these millenium releases and few paid attention to this small cigars (Marevas). However, it caught the attention of David Tang & PCC ended up with the majority of the stock. Original retail price was HK$2,500 per box and lately, market price is around HK$8,000. No anouncement from HSA on actual number released. My guess is between 1,000-2,000 boxes. Yes, now i can surf your CCW. Notice your CCW is missing many '08 ERs. Let me email you some photos later. Cheers
Van55 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I'm just wondering why you included the German Boli Gold Medals but excluded the 1,200 box release to Mexico of Edmundo Dantes Conde 109.
Trevor2118 Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 I'm just wondering why you included the German Boli Gold Medals but excluded the 1,200 box release to Mexico of Edmundo Dantes Conde 109. The German Boli were listed as "other special releases" whereas the Edmundo Dantes are grouped in the Regional Editions. However due to the comments raised by FatCigar, this list has now been edited to included only Commemorative Humidors.
Jay Hemingway Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 conde 109's are RE's. wolters BGM's are not. they were a special release. IMHO
