Siglo I - No Box Code

This is not a formal review, as this cigar was simply to gosh darn good to take stop and take notes. Unfortunately, the box has no code! I scraped off the label looking for one and it's just not there. I did come with another sister box that is 07, so I can only assume...BTW, it is from CZAR, so I know it's the real deal.

Never the less, this Siglo I starts off a tick under medium in body with coffee and cream (French Roast) with some spice through the nose. It continues to change character by evolving this coffee flavor, like switching cups with different roasts and beans, milk, then cream, latte like, a touch of vanilla. A little creamier, some sweetness, then more robust like espresso. Back and forth, untill the last third, which develops into more of a medium body core with a robust coffee bean flavor mixed with a little grassy taste.

Down to the nub, and it is the strongest it has been with more concentrated grassy/coffee/cream flavor. My fingers and lips are singed. For such a short smoke, it delivers aces. No BS, straight to the point...Focused. An easy 90 in my book.

At least 30 mins, I believe more, simply because it was demanding my attention and I was smoking it slooooow!

Funny, I have a written Punch Punch review with photos that I have yet to upload, and the Siglo was so much better that I skipped the Punch Review, as it was a clone to the Prez' video review. Same date/codes as Prez reviewed. Solid Construction and good smoking performance, but bland and not rewarding at all...smoke 2 Siglo I's back to back instead!

I have really been enjoying the '07 Sig 1s lately as well... Your assessment is pretty close to my experience. Great little cigar that is definitely not light on flavor!

Good review, mbrody. Couldn't agree more. I've smoked from a box of MAY 07. I'll just add:

Youthful, medium-light, some spice in the opening, wonderful aroma. Last 3rd sweet, coffee, almond notes, medium body. No reason to stop smoking this one to the nub. Nice open draw. (2 had minor draw issues). Great little smoke.
