Jesuscookies Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Can someone explain the differences between regional/special releases and normal releases? Are they blended differently? Different sizes not normally offered? What is it that makes them special?
asmith Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 What is it that makes them special? The hefty price tag!!
Colt45 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Can someone explain the differences between regional/special releases and normal releases? Easiest to post a link to Trevor's great site: Link
Jesuscookies Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 The hefty price tag!! Yeah, I didn't want to mention that part. I was hoping there was some reason, other than slick marketing, for the price differential. EDIT: Easiest to post a link to Trevor's great site:Link That helps. I need to bookmark that Trevors site.
audio1der Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Regional release are usually vitolas that aren't regularly available in a particular marca. I suppose that makes them unique blends.
bassman Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Since their introduction in 2005, I've found the best REs, usually PL & RA, to be much better than the ELS.
DocRKS Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Regional Edition cigars are also used to promote the marques and Vitolas which are not selling all that well....... It's a great sales approach and gives a nice shot in the arm to the slow movers... (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
