Had my first ever royal flush last night. I was playing a no stakes game in an online table of ten. It was down to myself and one other player and I was dealt an A-K of spades. I limped in and the other player checked. Flop comes up J-6-10 of spades. I bet the minimum just to see what he has and hoping that he has a flush an he lays out a sizeable bet, I delay as much as possible to savor the moment and follow, matching the bet. The next card is a Q of spades and I was staring in disbelief at my hand. He goes all in and of course, I follow. Sure enough, he is sitting on two spades and has a flush. Wow.

i've only seen the royal hit twice. once online (playing on ICC's poker table) and once at a live cash game here in town.

I've lost to 2 royal flushes for about $1200 or so in the last 4 years.

First one I had the King high Straight Flush.

2nd one I flopped Four of a Kind.

I run good.

very nice! The ironic thing with royals are that you rarely win much when they do hit. I think I've had 3 or 4 and probably won a cumulative $50. That guy had no business shoving in there with 2 little spades after the Q landed on the turn.

I have had 6 Royal Flushes. Four on Poker Champs and two on Pokerstars. PokerChamps paid a $5 bonus for a RF. Didn't win much on any of them.
