anacostiakat Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 The Skins signed Hall and sign Albert Haynesworth, defensive tackle! Way too much money but he will definitely improve the defense. Even if he has never played a full season. Washington Redskins Now they better improve the offensive line. . .
jwm8592 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I agree way to much money for this guy. While he is a good player and an impact one at that (when on the field of course), thats a big commitment of money. BTW, how old is this guy, thought he was at least 30? Well we traded Winslow, and Shaun Rodgers is hell bent on getting out of Cleveland. Great, new coach and our best defensive player wants out, and arguably our best offensive (when healthy) player has been traded. I would only agree w/the trade if the picks are right, like high second round w/at least one more selection. If they are looking at a 4th rounder and 1-2 6th rounders then its not worth it. My $.02.
cookie_1978 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 It sure is nice being a Steeler fan. We never run after the high price free agents, and we just continue to win. Did I mention we have 6 SB trophy's.
Freefallguy Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 he will definitely improve the defennse Rumour has it Ray Lewis wants to go to Dallas. That would be rather interesting.
anacostiakat Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Looks like the Skins also picked up Dockery to help with the O-line. Haynesworth is 27 years old. Shawn Springs was let go.
harwellplant Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 i've enjoyed watching haynesworth play over the last few years, and before then in college. he is a great player. still, its an even greater decision by the titans front office to not match that offer.
Guest RobertU Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 While he's a good player, his personality issues would worry me at that price, not to mention age and the way those guys' bodies break down so quickly. Still, he'll make a difference for them. And the money is not as nuts as what the Raiders CB got!
