dgn
Hi everyone, I am quite a newbie in cigar smoking and I want to start my own collection. Cigar smoking is quite a pleasure and I would not want my previous cigars to get wasted so I plan on investing on a good quality desktop humidor for the beginning. I suppose that 100 cigars would be more than enough. I live in Athens/Greece and as you are aware it can get REALLY hot here during summer. Please let me know from your experiences what would be the best humidor to start with (price wise also:p)
Colt45
This will not fit the bill for a desktop humidor, but for a hot climate such as yours (or any climate really), my suggestion would be to use a beverage cooler - a fifty quart, or preferably one hundred quart. It may seem like overkill, but if you end up like most of us, you'll be happy you went for something bigger from the start. Coolers are very good for maintaining a stable climate with minimum fuss. A cooler, a good supply of humidity beads or crystal cat litter, and a digital hygrometer - just add cigars Welcome to FOH.
MikeHoncho3133
I currently keep most of mine in a Vinotemp wine cooler. With its adjustable temp. I never have a problem.
