What a Magnificent display of skill and composure under the most stressful of times by this outstanding pilot and individual!

"Gliding" a powerless A-300 Jet from 3000 feet onto a water landing in the Hudson River - no fatalaties!!!! and CPT Sullenberger walked the water filled cabin twice making sure all were out before he himself left.

Speaking of stress - imagine the bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Upper Deck of the George Washington Bridge seeing an A-300 jet plane descending right down on them - the plane passed within 900 feet of the GWB!!!--- how many of those folks thought they were about to be victims of a new terror attack on NYC?!

I was also very impressed with how fast the various ferrys, tour boats, Police and Fire and Coast Guard Units got to those people standing on the wings of the plane literally in the Hudson River on one of the coldest days we have had here in decades!!!!!! It was one of the City's finest moments.

I hope my Cohiba Book wasnt on that flight...

Just joshin'.

Actually I too am very impressed by some skill in time of stress.

And it is a VERY good thing he landed where he did, as if he decided on the bay or ocean, or even farther down river, even if his landing was that good, people would have perished from hypothermia. It was FREAKIN' COLD yesterday. I can't imaging being wet out there.
