Guest rob Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Having had Brown Snakes in my back garden over the Christmas break was enough for me.... Getting rid of them from the yard was another matter all together.
Ken Gargett Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 It never ceases to amaze me how a few "stubbies" takes the fear out of any situation allow me to elaborate further. there is not enough money, nor enough alcohol, on the planet to convince me to paddle out amongst great whites. that said, i'd dearly love to have a crack at caching one from the beach.
Jimmy2 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 They should just make a catapult or a slingshot type device to put that bait out there.Thats just nuts doing it with the surf board.

I have seen powerline fishermen use a plumber's pressurized drain cleaner to shoot their anchor line out a good distance, probably 50 yards or so. Not sure if you could launch a frozen baitfish as far...
dragon Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Reason number 163 why Australia is so sparsely populated.
Ken Gargett Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 i've seen guys at fraser island - connor's corner - fish form sharks with a car wench. huge hook on a line attached to the cable with great bleeding lump of flesh tossed out close to shore but at a spot you'll sometimes see the odd noah cruise around (and where we oiften stand waist deep to fish with fish bags full of bleeding fish - very intelligent). needless to say that the fight is a quick one. flick the switch and the poor things are just skulldragged from the water.
