bassman Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I thought it would be timely to open a new box on the first day of the new year. As my desktops are pretty full, I went with a small cigar- a NOV 05 Siglo I. Good choice. Very dark wrappers, & full flavored & strong. MUCH better than my last box from early 05, which tasted green from start to finish.
habanohal Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Just smoked a 96 LGC Med D #2. What a fruity cigar. Last one though , so need to order another few boxes
El Presidente Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Those Siglo 1's are perhaps the hardest of all cigars to select correctly. Construction can generally always be picked however the Siglo 1 does vary in flavour characters which is not always able to be picked from the aroma. Aroma at cold from a box of Cohiba's is quite different to other cigars. There is a certain grassy quality to the aroma. When selecting other cigars I would in most part count against such an aroma but in the Cohiba's it is part of the blend. All in all the aroma makes it more dififcult to be 80% sure it is going to be a cracker box.
mbrody Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 So far my Sig I's have been crackers...SOMEBODY did a good job picking them. (Hint: wasn't me!) Have to sample to other boxes to see if they taste any different than this Cracka box!
