Great pics!

As for mounting, most now just take the weight, measurements and pictures and have a fiberglass mount done. Not only does it withstand the elements (it doesnt deteriorate), it allows the preservation of the species.

I like to eat fish.

I'll be sure and pack up some fish with some cigars in our next trade. I'll be sure to send it 5-7 day mail so it's fresh.

my chart estimated the age of the fish at 18years - I just couldnt bring that to an end.

Damn my soft heart.

Well done mate. I am all for catch and release of the trophy fish. :perfect10:

The 5-7 day thing - Are you trying to jab me for lagging getting a box out to you? I was really going to try tomorrow, but now that I saw this...

That is great to hear you release the fish. As you can see from my other posting here I almost always release about 98% of the fish I catch. A fish that size can produce a large amount of off spring.

We need to keep letting them go to try to help correct the past, and make sure our kid's can also fish the land.

Once again thank you for the release..

Star,

Where were you in Belize? I stayed at a nice resort near Hopkins Belize a few years ago and did the same type of fishing on the same type of boat it appears. Beautiful country.

I stayed for a week on Ambergris Caye, just on the edge of San Pedro in the worlds best hotel - The Blue Tang.

If you ever go there that place is by far the best.
