I have no personal knowledge to answer the question, but it would seem that the high prices for these would attract counterfeiters just as much as the EL's did. There were a slew of counterfeit EL's a couple of years ago. Very good counterfeits to boot.

Reason I ask is because I was at the local shop yesterday and asked the owner to see the LGC Regionals for the UK that he has and although I didn't buy one, they look pretty legit. And as previously stated in an earlier post, he had them not in a box but in a plastic bag with about 100+ of them. I think someone stated on one of my earlier posts, they are either fake as can be or they have a deep connection at the Partagas factory.

I saw this but you never know who might be connected to who. Just because they aren't in the UK yet doesn't mean anything. I know it sounds far fetched and rather odd but you never know.

They fake any Cuban cigar especially the EL's at least here in the states.

And another interesting point is that the owners themselves don't even try to sell them to people and they smoke them themselves. You would think if they were fakes and they knew they were fakes they wouldn't smoke them and would be trying to get rid of them at a very high price.

I haven't seen anything in relation to fake Regional Releases as yet. I do question however the authenticity of "some" Regional Releases coming from Havana Divans where "I have set some aside for you" is a common practice. I have no concrete proof, simply suspicions.

I think he told me $20 perhaps $35. I might pick one up and post some pics for review.

If you are really interested in getting these for that price, I would suggest you use someone you know is legit. No point in spending that much for fakes.

Personally, if I have any doubts that a cigar might be a fake, then I pass.

I dont really care to get them I am more just getting thoughts on the situation as a whole. I guess next time I will just ask them if they have a connection at the Partagas factory and see what they say.

From what I know is that the UK Regional LGC is not out yet either
