Friend of mine came into possession of a few RASS. What struck me as odd was that these have dark oily wrappers and a slight box press shape to them. box code unknown. On the other hand they do smell pretty damn good.

What do ya think?

It looks just like the one I smoked this morning that I'm reviewing for tomorrow. Actually... yours has a better cap but a slightly stuffy looking foot. All of my RASS are all slightly box pressed. If the taste is there it's there. I'm sure they'll taste like a winner.

Your results may vary, but the 07s I have look just like that insofar as the wrapper...box press could come from a 25 DB vs. a 50 SLB. Without having an RA band in front of me to compare, I'd say fire it up.

Thanks for the input!

Interesting, the few RASS I've had were perfectly round and lighter in color, which is why this specimen sparked my curiosity.

Ramon Allones robustos from a SLB of 50 are not called RASS but RAES. The RASS pictured above looks very good! :)

RASS often seem significantly box-pressed.
