Spartan Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Friend of mine came into possession of a few RASS. What struck me as odd was that these have dark oily wrappers and a slight box press shape to them. box code unknown. On the other hand they do smell pretty damn good. What do ya think?
kilroy Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 It looks just like the one I smoked this morning that I'm reviewing for tomorrow. Actually... yours has a better cap but a slightly stuffy looking foot. All of my RASS are all slightly box pressed. If the taste is there it's there. I'm sure they'll taste like a winner.
PartagasIV Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Your results may vary, but the 07s I have look just like that insofar as the wrapper...box press could come from a 25 DB vs. a 50 SLB. Without having an RA band in front of me to compare, I'd say fire it up.
Spartan Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 Thanks for the input! Interesting, the few RASS I've had were perfectly round and lighter in color, which is why this specimen sparked my curiosity.
El Presidente Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Visually they look fine to me. I have seen them exactly like that.
Claudius Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 box press could come from a 25 DB vs. a 50 SLB. Ramon Allones robustos from a SLB of 50 are not called RASS but RAES. The RASS pictured above looks very good! RASS often seem significantly box-pressed.
Jay Hemingway Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Ramon Allones robustos from a SLB of 50 are not called RASS but RAES. noooooooo.
