Member of a cigar club ?

Hi everyone;

Before the new forum launch and before the

new online magazine comes into being,I thought it

would be interesting to see how many persons on

FOH are members of a cigar club or cigar bar or

just a band of guys enjoying a smoke together.

How about a Pic. or two, If you have them, or just

tell us about your experience.

I find that sharing a smoke with friends is part of the enjoyment

of smoking a great cigar.

Our club is called "L'AFICION DU HAVANE " and we are in the

south of France in the city of Nimes.

I founded the club in 1994, so in 2009 we will celebrate our 15th

year. We are, at the moment, 35 members and we get together

for a formal meeting every 6 weeks with a great cigar dinner.

For the dinner, I always provide two Habanos, one to start the

night and one after the meal. We enjoy sharing our thoughts while

we finish off our cigars with desert and coffee or an after dinner

drink which will maybe end at about 3 or 4 am.

sounds like a great community you have there. You are absolutely right that the cigars are a side dish to a great group of friends and company.

I do not, but I did have the opportunity to meet up with a great group of guys at a local cigar

lounge a few months back. I hope to be able to do so again.

I know I am the luckiest guy in the world. While we have a fantastiic and vibrant local FOH club, I have travelled the world meeting FOH friends. That is the best part of our community...THE PEOPLE!

Just a smattering of mates from all over the planet. This is OUR club built on our standards of Fun, Friendship, Fraternity, Loyalty......no tossers no wankers ;-)
