Nice barnyard smell. Reminds me of my younger days growing up on the farm. The smell of the chicken house and cattle barn all rings through with the smell of this cigar.

Very good construction, I cut the tip and pre draw was very earthy, leathery and some feint spice. As I lit this up I notice a bitter aftertaste with not much smoke coming through. I will have to see how this evolves. About an inch in the bitterness fades and a more creamy light spice fills the tongue and mouth with tons of tobacco flavor. Ash fell off just past an inch long, it was medium grey with light streaks throughout. Burn is about at a 45 degree angle, going to see if it will correct itself. Had to touch it up to even out the burn. Around half done and the taste has not changed at all. Has tons of smoke with burn tobacco flavor. Last was the same as the middle just a bit stronger tobacco flavor and leaving a slight bitter aftertaste on the tongue. This is the third one I have smoked and has been by far the least enjoyable. I will give this about an 81 out of 100 score.

Difficult to tell from the photo Neil but I recall plenty of thicker wrappers being used during that time which really had a negative burn effect on cigars and imparted a rather bitter taste. The wrappers I was thinking about were slightly darker than that on yours.

Thank you for that bit of information.
