BobLobLaw Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Prez - I was wondering on this last work day of the week about the salary structure in Cuba for those in the cigar industry. I would assume that those individuals high up in HSA do pretty well, but what about everyone else? For example what does a high level roller make in comparison to a new roller? Or the person who sorts the cigars by color? or the blender? or band applier? . . .etc I thought you may have some insight into this, if not, no worries I am just thinking out loud here. :-D Have a good weekend guys
habanohal Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 If anything like I am told by Mother in law about the Phillipenes, it goes like this. I am tall, white, and if I go there to live and take $20,000 I can live like a king for life there
aavkk Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 That is a great gesture. Sounds like a win-win situation all around.

AWESOME! I hope to be in a financial position to do something like this, someday! I had a brief part time gig years ago at the Cigar Factory in NOLA, and the rollers were all from DR and listening to their stories about work in their home country is very saddening. These guys I worked with sent all the money they made back home to take care of their families. Brian
