El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Fonseca Delicias EUP Sep 07 40 x 123 (4.8") Petit Corona This was my least favourite of the line. Relatively well constructed and drew perfectly yet no flavour on the palate at the pre light draw. From the get go this was medium in body but had a harsh edge. I enjoyed the light white pepper hit through the nose but there was almost a green tannic edge continually gripping the palate. The Delicias does not have the gonads to ruthlessly assault the senses and it does not have the subtlety to be a good light bodied cigar. It is a cigar stuck in no mans land. Then again, this is the youngest of the Fonsecas I have tried (Sep 07) and I suspect that it needs some serious time to settle down to what it was intended to be. Mid point of the cigar now and its lack of finesse is having me look longingly at the garden below. Too many hard edges in the flavour to be enjoyable. Perhaps worth a revisit in 4 years time but I would not really bother. Too many very good small formats delivering so much more. I would much rather prefer a Por Larranaga Panetela. 80/100
