SmokinAl Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Very nice job. My old favourite of the Siglo line, usurped by the VI. You can never have too many Siglo III
Thomas Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I am enjoying these very much and was thinking of writing a review myself
CIGARHead Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Very nice review Rob. I smoked a Sig III on Monday and it was amazing. Coffee and cream with a bit o' honey lovin. One of my favs!
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Cohiba Siglo III Feb 06 Just makes me feel smarter picking up a Siglo III. Love the vitola….like a great pen. Lisa calls my office and asks if I did yesterdays banking (she knows I didn’t)……I no longer feel smart. Wrapper has some decent oil. Aroma at cold is sweet tobacco pure and simple. Construction A1, weight in hand perfect and a nice open foot. Clipped the cap and I swear I can taste cream and tobacco. Fired up the foot and I am drawn to the bosom of what a Siglo III should be. Grass, coffee, a little coal, a hint of peel all wrapped in a medium bodied format. I love this cigar, always have although you do get the occasional disappointment. The Siglo III screams “COHIBA” and a more elegant (on the medium/full side) cigar you will not find. Slow draws, a little contemplation and the III delivers an array of flavours which I just adore. As you traverse its length it becomes stronger and the last third is definitely full bodied. The mid palate coffee becomes stronger, the grass moves to the extremities as do the sweeter notes. A journey which shows complexity and poise. If I am to be critical is that the delivery is rather clinical. I am pulling straws now. Overall very good. 89/100
