Leftridge Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I was waiting for this review. Very helpful in narrowing down my next selection!
Mel Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Yeh Rob I have a box of these and they are hard to smoke past the half way point getting down right rough. Ver unlike the Cohiba that I love.

56Tweed Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Interesting review. I recently commented how consistent these have been for me the past few years. I don't remember having ever smoked a bad one. With that said I haven't had any '07s yet.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Cohiba Siglo II RSB May 07 Another good looking Cohiba. Lovely tan Colorado colour with an enticing hay/cedar aroma to match. I love the Siglo II. At its best it is the best of all the PC’s whith a rich medium bodied flavour. Not as strong as the Siglo I but stronger than the III. Construction on this example is perfect. Clipped the cap and the draw is sublime with clean tobacco on the palate. Fired up the foot and I have smoked enough of these II’s to know I am in for a disappointment. The body is indeed medium bit alas the flavours are thin. No real coffee/honey flavours on the palate just a whispy cigarette flavour which I find repulsive. It does improve come the first inch but it never reaches a density…a soul…a heart which one would find satisfying. Having tried many of these at their best this was indeed a disappointment. Still I persisted during the morning regimen of forums and answering Kens annoying e-mails. By the mid point I thought I may have called it a little harsh but no……it simply doesn’t deliver a certain richness Cohiba needs to be at its best and I doubt this cigar if given the time would ever achieve it. The finish has a little more spine….more black coffee…more leather and a hint of sweet grass. Too little too late. 85/100
