fabulous place, great trip (i won the trophy - the LRLOO cp - long story) but really tough fishing this time - all sorts of reasons. got five around the five pound mark - just either side. two on a fly that was nothing more than an inch and a hlaf of pink rubber band tied to a hook. seriously. did it ever look like a pink worm. if i can find it, will photo it.

was planning to post but had to go straight to clare valley for a few days (the results of which will include a bit on youtube - you'll be the last to hear the link - the wine writers have a band called the scribblers which appears at the clare fextival every year. i play enthusiasm) and had to cancel dinner in perth - great shame. will get to the post.

and have smoked the sig vi, just need to post. will be in tomorrow morning briefly.

and yes, i know you can enhance fish in photos. we've all seen the evidence.

i have absolutely no musical talent whatsoever but as a member of the "union", they feel compelled to let me play. i do insist that my mike be turned off so no embarassment to anyone, especially me. still amazing how many people come up (guess they think it is cool to talk to the band) and congratulate one for one's performance. if only they knew...

still, it is at a wine festival.

not sure what they are putting on youtube. mustang sally, because the night and possibly more. teach al gore to invent the internet.

none of the above but we did have one long-term married chap (it was at the end of a very big dinner and much 'work') out himself. wearing a mustard spew coloured teletubbies jacket, he announced to the assembled that, and this is word perfect 'rodney adler is asthetically pleasing'. and then dug himself into a hole. massive night.

and all topped off with a magical bolivar gigantes and 50 year old ports. i got a lot of work done that night.

my thoughts exactly. it got worse. when queried, he decalred that he had a very tight bum but an appreciation of it did not make him ***. the deafening roar of cupboard doors slamming shut behind him notwithstanding.

That's just wrong - on so many levels - although Adler being the egomaniac that he is might actually google himself regularly and find this site and enjoy the complement. Hello Rodney.
