From this lot my choice would be the VR Famosos. You've probably already tried them, but others I enjoy are the Cohiba, Bolivar RC (post '05), and the RyJ Short Churchill (have only sampled one so far, but loved it).

Epi 2s have made a come-back in late 06, D4s I have seen lately (20 boxes) are looking very light in colour and dont smoke that well from what I've heard (not tried them as I didnt like the colour).

Great comback in 06 production which appears to have flowed through to 07 production. Trinidad Robusto Extra. Pass. Lacking depth of flavour. To me they always have. Vegas Famosos. Hit and miss. Unless there is a box with a gorgeous wrapper with a reddish/brown hue.....pass. H.Upman Connie #1. Surprised me a few times recently. Coming around to these again after a few years of avoiding them. Still need longer ageing than the rest on your list.
anacostiakat Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Pretty much what Rob said. I like the PSD#4 for now or later. I havent sampled any HDM Epi #2s later than '04 so no help there. I agree on the Trini RE and the Upmann Connies. But I havent sampled any current Upmanns either.
