It could be a sideways "infinity" designation. I'm fortunate to own two of these unusual boxes. Every time I remove a cigar from the box, another one appears and the box mysteriously remains full.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll put back the eight I was packing up for Slick, especially since

The following is a pic of a box of Montecristo No.4. I just recently noticed the 8 stamped under

the normal codes. I've done some searching, and could not find anything relating to this additional

number. Has anyone seen this, or have any thoughts?

I'm thinking it was accidental, and probably has no meaning?
