greenpimp Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Azulene oil. I am told it is an oil to remove wax residue after hair removal. My wife had some lying around, I was desperate, and gave it a go. Everyone except Ken will have to google it. Peel the sticker off carefully, then apply azulene oil to wood with a soft cotton rag/cloth (one that will not fuzz. I used a cloth diaper.) Slowly work small amounts of it over the afflicted area. It will remove the gummy residue and evaporate completely. It also works on non-varnished wood, but will stain it. A slight etherish odor is present but vanishes within a day maximum. My latest Esplendidos will testify to the trickiness of this sticker trick.
El Presidente Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 » Azulene oil. I am told it is an oil to remove wax residue after hair » removal. Eucalyptus oil also works. There are some professional GOO removers which work. Best first to heat the sticker from a corner and slowly peel away as you heat. Use the goo or oils to remove residue. Have a look around your house and it is amazing what you will find. No Ken....KY Jelly will not work.
Don Candido Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 » No Ken....KY Jelly will not work. You know KY has a new warming jelly. It might be worth a try...
