winelover Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 These days I am not getting to smoke hardly at all. This year the indoor smoking ban's kicked in, and the weather in the UK is just too cold and miserable. I really need to make some time in my life for habanos. I've only had about 2 cigars in the past 3 weeks. Part of the problem is also having nothing smaller than a pirimade in the humi. At the moment toying with pulling the trigger on a box of reyes so that I can fit a 20 minute smoke in - wearing my gloves, hat and scarf!! (it's not really that cold here - more honestly I'd have an umbrella today). I've enjoyed the posts of late but been absent due to home internet problems and having started a new job where I told them I don't smoke during i/v - so cigar forum's a no-no (at least until I've done my probationary period!).

mef Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Graham Trinidad Reyes and RA SCC are perfect for winter conditions. It usually takes me abt 40-45 mins to enjoy the TR. :-D Good idea to stock up some. mef
winelover Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 » 20 minutes? Slow down and enjoy it.... You're right, just commenting on how I feel in the winter tho. Whereas indoors, say in a cigar shop where I can still smoke, had a secretos that I "sipped" over a full hour.
El Presidente Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Good luck on the new position Graham! Be dilligent, kiss arse and slowly take over. Worked for Lisa. My favourite 20 minute Shortie Hoyo De Monterrey Le Hoyo Du Maire.

Mel39 Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Hi Graham, good to seeya. Yeah the weather's a real bummer. I've told the local Starbucks manager to get a better sun??blind and order patio heaters. I MUST have my morning cigar with my coffee before starting work and it's getting harder. There's a new Tessa Rossa cafe next door the Odeon Marble Arch that has some cover and a couple of mornings last week had sun from over Hyde Park for a good two hours. But deffo getting worse. Looking forward to non stop smoking in New York next month. Blimmin' 'ell NEXT MONTH! Met up with Steve from the States at JJ Fox those few weeks back and spent a very pleasant couple of hours there "sampling" their wares. JJs run the store in Selfridges and I asked why they didn't have a divan for sampling. The manager said they asked Selfridges but they wouldn't hack it. I've started playing with a website for Cubans, it's very amateurish at the moment but I'm trying to find time to get it together. It's a play on my name LyonsKing.com yeh corny, I know. Look forward to meeting up one day. regards, Mel39

anacostiakat Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Best of luck on the new job! Hang in there and before you know it you will be back to enjoying yourself.
Colt45 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Perlas and minutos - still more than a twenty minute smoke, but easier than a pc - especially the perla. Best luck with the new job.
