Ken Gargett Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 » Australian possoms are pretty cute and non threatening. Looks like a » little ewok or something. Down here in the southeast us our possoms are » nasty looking creatures with foul breath that hiss and bite and then play » dead and manage to smell like death warmed over. » » That little creature was almost cute enough to have as a pet. If you had » a real possom from the usa you'd make sure it took up residence as far » away from the piss porch as possible! » » Bachelorhood sure has its benefits. Fridge full of beer/booze, primo » coffee maker/espresso machine, enough wine to trip over, and tons of » habanos to smoke on a whim. » » Sadly you can tell that not many women are going to be comfortable in that » joint, unless they're into the sloppy serial killer type. i thought your possoms were actually opossums and quite different to ours, in that not even related species, if you get the drift?
cvm4 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Man, picture perfect before Ken got there. ;-) :-D
Guest Warren Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Clearly a job for ***** eye for the chronically straight guy. And you need to treat your possums properly. Try gurning at them.

Our possums will eat out of your hands , your possums will eat off your hands. Not something you'd keep as a pet. Some of our other wild life really get into he party mood though.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 It is with a heavy heart that I seek member assistance in the organisation of an "Intervention" for fellow member....Ken . Not since hurricane "Katrina" or the Asian Tsunami have I witnessed such pictures of devastation When a brother falls to such depths.....it is up to the rest of us to reach down.....way way down....and assist him to find the surface once again. The story unfolds with Ken purchasing a lovely property a month or so ago in the upmarket acreage belt of Brookfield less than 5 minutes from my house. This is what the property looked like a month ago.... ...and so...when Ken invited I and Graeme over for a drink to look at the new house and enjoy a cigar...we arrived with hearts high that a good friend had made the transition from bridge dweller to home owner. He welcomed us in his best attire. The surrounding scenery is stunning. Bell birds singing, parrots flying through the evening sky. Not a neighbour in sight. But then....I sensed a darker problem...a vision only seen on the 6pm news. Kens filing :-| There was also an undercurrent .....of a deeper problem :-| Ken appeared to be on "uppers" Ken introduced me to the resident "possum" who appeared terrified to leave his house....no doubt fearing (rightfully) that Ken would stuff a cardboard box in it :-( Ken believes in minimalism when it comes to furniture. Or it may have simply been repossessed. Yet Ken is a genial host offering us a Cuban Crystal beer. However, he is obviously delusional as he made us take off our shoes in order not to make a mess He handed me a great Partagas Lusitania from 1998...."Boomerang"Limited Edition for the Aussie market I excused myself to go to the bathroom......the possum was right not to leave his house. Ken works out a great deal. You can tell as the plastic is still on the bicycle seat. I assume the towel came with the bike :-| Through all this the Partagas Lusi 1998 was one of the finest cigars I have smoked this year. I noticed Ken has a habit of walking through doors..... 8:pm and feeling peckish I went to the fridge looking for a snack Ken showed us there was no need to use the facilities Opening a 1999 bottle of Champagne we chatted and laughed for hours. Gentlemen. We have here a friend in need. I leave it up to members to put forward how we can help this man. I have called St Vincent De Paul this morning looking for furniture but I am aware that a man must reach rock bottom before he can begin to help himself. And that is the problem.....he is just too damn happy

Miami101 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Gen: Your place looks nice....I wish my place that that nice. Where are you going to put those wines? It is nice to see a place with some land.....Miami it is hard to find a place this this....and if you find it the cost is very high. Question why do they build the homes on a second level?
