tigger
The content is feeble, not the cigar. With our fearless leader galavanting around Asia, smoking stale old cigars, I had hoped to hoped to present a cogent, structured review of this cigar, but the batteries are dead on the camera, and the phone kept interrupting my note-taking. In brief, I smoked a Tainos this evening from circa 2002. It was very pleasant, and the flavors changed often, with light cocoa and stewed ripe fruit being the highlights. There was an interesting iodine note from time to time, and a surprising saltiness on the finish. I would smoke it again. :-)

Not so surprising after all, I guess. Wish I had more, but my '05s should be set to go in another few years.
trumpetchris
I have some 01's that are similar to your description, with maybe the addition of a citrus taste on the finish. Try one of your 05s. I have some 05 or 06 can't remember which now, that are very good and much different than their older brothers.

Sad (or not), my '05s are safely tucked away on another continent, so I can't get at them. Maybe I'll have them shipped in a few months. ;-)
Cubatabaco
It is all I can do to stay out of the box of 05's. I have gone almost 3 years without touching them. I am trying to go the 5 years as MRN says, but the talk of 05's being good has got me curious.
