From a Tube and no doubt relatively young I was not expecting the world of this smoke.

Upon examination it appeared it to be near flawless construction with a perfect cap, perfect weight and very good oilyness (sheen). Clipped the cap and initial prelight draw was spot on offering just the right amount of resistance.

Fired up the foot and off we go. It captured my attention right out of the gates with impressive spice and cream. The first third progressed nicely adding some leather in addition to the trademark "cohiba" flavor profile. Although I have to say that I dont pick up on the "grassiness" that many of you commonly refer to with Cohiba. Probably just my NewB pallate.

After settling down a bit it developed extremely well and midway through I picked up a bit of cinnamon. It was climbing in strength and transitioned nicely into what was looking like a strong finish.

Yep, strong finish. At the 5" mark and 10:20 EST this cigar was officially a powerhouse. Not at all overwhelming it offered a smooth power the likes of say a ferrari as opposed to a viper (Partagas P2 in my opinion). Both equally enjoyable yet very different. At the 6" mark and nearly nubbing it she stayed the course and left me very satisfied. I would give it a 90 or 91 and am really looking forward to this cigars' development.

For those of you familiar with this stick can you recommend a specific box code preferrably from 06 or 07? Thanks in advance to Lisa for granting my specific box code request that I will be placing on Wednesday:-D

I have a NOV06 box that is just as you describe......easily a 90/91. My FEB05 box is stunning though. By far the best Siglo VI I've had to date. I only have two of them left though :crying:

Thanks Justin. We'll see what Lise sends along and I will post a review from my box when the time is right. From everything that I have heard they have been remarkably consistent lately and so I shouldn't have too much to worry about. Wish I could say the same for the Vegas Rob Unicos.

I just smoked an 06 Sig VI that went to hell after an inch. I smoked it to the last third and pitched it. This one was sick as the previous 2 that I smoked months ago were awesome to the nub.

Thanks for the review.

Was it from the same box as the two that were very good? what was the box code?

Thanks for the review. This is one cigar I don't really care for, but perhaps should give another try.

Also, I find a 52 ring with no taper a bit much.
