El Presidente Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 2005 standard lines/cigars: Partagas Series P No.2 A/T 10's (new design tube similar to the Siglo VI concept) - No idea yet as to when we are receiving it....hopefully within 2005. Romeo y Julieta Churchills A/T, C/P 3'SX5, 15'S - I am not sure if this also is going to be the new design concept tube. I will find out but I doubt it yet. There is a general plan from Habanos in 2006 to revive and change most of the Tubes in all major brands, Romeo, Montecristo, H.Upmann, Bolivar, etc according to the new design tube (see Siglo VI). 2005 Special Cabinets: Romeo y Julieta Humidor 100's - 130th Anniversary (red colour with RyJ logo, polished looks very good) Partagas Humidor 100's - 160th Anniversary (wooden style) Montecristo Habanos Collection 20's (book) - 70th Anniversary 2006 Standard Items Cohiba Siglo II A/T, C/P 5'sx5, 25's (same a Siglo VI tube) Romeo y Julieta "Short Churchill"(robusto) - 25's 10's, A/T C/P 3'sx5, 15's Edmundo A/T (new design tube) There is a general plan from Habanos in 2006 to revive and redesign/change the Tubes in all major brands, Romeo, Montecristo, Punch, Bolivar, Hoyo, according to the new design tube (see Siglo VI). 2006 Commemorative 5th Anniversary Limited Edicions (in this one again from previous experience I can not bet my b... on it, but so far looks promising). In 2006 will be the 5th Anniversary of the Limited Edicions series. Habanos will create the most popular & successful 3 cigars out of the whole series. The cigars will have a special commemorative band, and the boxes will be also different to reflect the 5th Anniversary. Cohiba Piramides Montecristo Robustos Partagas Series D No.3 2006 Ancient Humidor - A special reproduction of an old humidor from Habanos old archives. They will create an old humidor. Nothing has been decided yet. Travel/Duty Free Retail - 2006 It will be a travel humidor with 10 Montecristo Edmundos. This will be only available in Duty Free market. 2006 Big Surprise A very special cabinet/humidor celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Cohiba brand. We don't know yet as they have kept this as a secret. and 2006 disappointment Initially it was planned to have the Cohiba Gran Reserva Series in 2006. Similar concept like the Partagas Reserva (Series D No.4), but the Cohiba would have been 10 years old tobacco, hence the Gran Reserva.Unfortunately this has been postponed at the moment since they are bringing for 2006 the special cabinet for the 40th Anniversary of the Cohiba brand. The Cohiba Gran Reserva will be for 2007.
n2advnture Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Are they still planning on the PSD4 Grand Reservas for the end of 05?
wasch_24 Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Pretty cool! I do like the way the Sig VI tubes open.
Mikey Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 » Pretty cool! I do like the way the Sig VI tubes open. I haven't gotten any of the new Sig VI tubos....how are they different?:-|
cvm4 Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Lots of promising but EXPENSIVE stuff coming down the pipeline from habanos s.a. Hopefully everything won't be as expensive as I'm imagining. ;-)
waldo Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Thanks for the update. BTW, my sister-in-law will be in Spain next month. Any tips on any 05 stuff available in the Duty Free? ;-)
Jimmy2 Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 WoW looks nice need my 401K money to get all these goods...:-D
harwellplant Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 the edmundo a/t looks great. this cigar is one of my favorite newer releases. the taste is nice, but the size is spot on for me. i am really looking forward to seeing how they age. if the tube is anything like the sigVI, it will rock.
dragon Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Oh sure, now they decide to make the P2s in tubos, after I already bought 11 boxes, LOLOL. I see another brutal year in '06 for my Mastercard :-(

I really like the design of the Siglo VI tube with the friction fit of the cap, as opposed to the traditional screw-on cap......good idea Habanos

Spud2 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Great line up! Love the tubos idea and the 2 Cohiba's, Pirmades and 40th Anny package.
Elric Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 As much as I like some of Habanos's gimmicks I really do hope that they up the quality control on their regular bread-and-butter offerings.
dysfunctional Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Awww man.... time to get a new loan..... this is getting to be an expensive hobby.....
GoatLocker Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Thanks for sharing Rob. I just cashed in some investments to pay off the last years purchases, now this! :-(
