Bands on recent PLPC\'s

I just noticed something...I have 3 cabinets of PLPC's. (2) from '04 and (1) '06. All bands are the same. I just recieved some singles for a friend whom is just starting out w/ cuban cigars. There is 1 PLPC in the sampler. I took it out and thought something looked funny. Well the bands are different in size, length and font. The authenticity is NOT in question, just curious if anyone else can confirm if recent '07 PLPC have a slightly different band than previous years.

For reference, the "Sampler" Band is always on top in the pictures and where the whole cigars are shown, the "Sampler" band is on Left and my 2004 is on Right.

**Notice the difference in length of the top and bottom arcs on the bands...Also take note on the font difference.**

**Bad pic, but you can see the size difference of the bands, "Sampler" band being the smaller of the two.

**Size of the ends of the band where it overlaps and is glued is totally different.**

I know bands differ and this could be just one of those "Hey, we're out of this band cutout, use this one" type of things. Hopefully someone with a cabinet of 2007 and some older cabinets could compare them as well.

Mine were bought from a very reliable source. The person that I dealt with should get a HUGE raise! She is fantastic! :-D

When you say your '07s are the same as mine, are you talkin bout my '04 or the '07 "sampler" band?

No question about if these are fakes(I assume we shop at the same joint!), just curious if the bands changed like the new Montecristo's.

All the 07 PLPC's I've seen have the "wrong" band on them. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but they have the smaller panetela band. Maybe they ran out, or maybe it was just a mistake.

Not only are the bands different, but the 07's are darker too. A few months ago, when I got my 07's, I compared them to 06's and raised the same questions...it ended up being all good. BTW, they taste really good, even though they are young. Happy smoking. :-D

No doubt about it, the single '07 was very much darker than any of my older ones. It even had that reddish tint to it that I love. I was so interested in it that I took it for myself, replacing it with an '04 for my friend!

I noticed the same thing with an 07 cab of shorts I recently got a hold of. Much darker and redder than my 05 and 06 cabs. They look amazing.
