Well Armed Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 So I was deer hunting last weekend and after I was about to leave I was driving by a small pond and I looked into it and saw a floating log - but it was no log, it was a trout! So I slam on the brakes and grab the trusty 3-weight out of the gun rack and string up like as fast as the road runner. I toss the size 14 adams out there and BAM it is on. 5 pound trout after 5 pound trout on the 3 weight brins a smile to my face. I grab a cohiba CE and fire it up. Very good cigar. I love these MKO 04 CE's. Very creamy and the aroma is pure cocoa powder and sugar milk, like the warm milk your mom would put sugar and honey in to make you sleep as a child. Anyways....I finish the cigar and it is very dry out so I toss it in the pond before leaving for home, sore arms and all. And what happens? KAPOW!! A fish eats the cigar! I can only imagine the pleasure that fish experienced as that CE worked its way through the system. Ha ha ha. I bet he's gonna grow like 2 lbs from all the nutrition. Or he'll turn into a bonefish. A Cuban boneyfeesh mon!

El Presidente Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Always have a fly Rod, reels and a box of fly's in the 4x4 ;-)
Mel Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 » » » Always have a fly Rod, reels and a box of fly's in the 4x4 ;-) I am the opposite and carry a gun while fishing. If I can't catch the f*&%$#r I'll shoot him. I am glad none of the PETA people were there to see that. You would be up on cruelty to fish charges. Makes you wonder how smart the trout are and why we tie such elaborate patterns to tempt them. Instead of dries, wets and nymphs we should just try petit coronas, belicosos and No.2s.:-|
