this is one for world cup fans.

how interesting to see that after just one test under connolly, barnes is playing to his ability. an entire season under the toxic hobbit had sent him backwards. we might not win this thing but how far have we come after that venemous little toad had almost dragged us into oblivion.

while on the subject of amazing turnarounds, i am still in shock at yesterday morning's column by spiro zavos in the smh. after several decades of reds bashing (this is the bloke that bagged lynagh and also said that both horan and little were not good centres - how inspiring that must be for the smh to have such a competent rugby writer! and if you don't believe it, i have the clippings), he spent yesterday morning raving about reds including putting latham over burke.

imagine being so bitter, twisted and insane that after dragging your nation to the worst results the wallabies had ever endured; when we were a rugby joke; when we could not be confident of beating zambia; when a referee actually said to the world that he had to keep penalising our front row because they simply were not strong enough to match it with their opponents; when you have almost totally stuffed the career of the brilliant george smith (which thankfully connolly has resurrected); when you have shamed your nation; when you admit you picked the man (i speak of the world's most overrated rugby player, matt rogers, tho nathan sharpe must be a candidate) who made more mistakes and dropped more ball than the rest of the team did together in the total of the 03 world cup instead of the brilliant latham because you thought he made better decisions (thereby proving you make better decisions than no one on the planet) and thereby largely cost your nation a world cup, that you leave and join the coaching panel of a competitor. a traitor to your country and i hope that your passport has been revoked (tho to be honest, having the toxic hobbit coaching an opponent probably helps the wallabies chances). i am outraged. thank whatever divinity appeals to you that he has gone. south africa you are welcome. and especially thank all divinities that he has gone from the reds.

and to the few remaining english fans, i still think your blokes have a chance to beat both tonga and samoa, tho it might be close!

i'm sure you are aware that all australia is behind the poms. we'd rather play your lot than tonga.

For our North American members.....Toxit Hobbit refers to our ex National Rugby Coach ....who is now assitant coach of .....Seth Efrika :surprised:

A pox on him and his *** loins. However....Ken.....if the great John O'neil (General Manager Australian Rugby Union) appoints a Kiwi to coach our national team......I will never watch an Australian International Rugby Match again until the festering wound has departed.

God bless Australia in their battle for this International World Cup. We know he is Australian .....or at least holidays here ;-)

can't see it happening. if the blicks choke again, he (being deans) will coach them.

even if they don't, the management of the blicks has cocked up so much, who will ever forget the brilliant gambit to con the irb with the ground advertising for the 03 world cup which, as much as they would wish to blame o'neill was their own dumb fault (kiwis admitted it at the time but have since rewritten history), that they can't be seen to lose their best coach to us. if it did tho, it would piss so many kiwis off that it does have some appeal.

my tip, scott johnson under a revised system which allows him to remain hands on. foley and muggleton to assist. knuckles may have some 'house of lords' style role.

if we bowed out in the 1/4s that might change.

and having a kiwi at the helm when we take back the bledisloe does appeal. they'd hate it.

Oh great hypocrite. How can you lambast Jones for taking a Seth Efrikan coaching position and then accept a Kiwi for ours?

You are a flip flopper, a spineless jelly fish, a stain on the hallowed carpets of Australian Rugby.

You still popping in for a cigar this afternoon? I have a cask waiting.
