Custom Cigars Part 2

Well we are heading down the track.

Seriously need your input over the next 2-3 days as I have been asked to submit one larger format and one smaller format cigar for Custom consideration.

I am leaning towards :

Large Format....Magnum ala the Por Larranaga Magnum Blend

Small Format.... Carlotas (Serie De Connoisseur No 3 size) in a Ramon Allones blend in 50's.

Your thoughts: One large...one small.

I think Habanos is way off track here. The custom sticks are great IF you can get the blend you want rolled by the roller that you want. How is Habanos SA going to do that? and at what price?

Sorry Rob I didn't mean to threadjack! As for sizes I'd go with Corona Gorda and Churchill.

I would actually prefer to see one custom size instead of several but if forced to make a decision, I don't mind seeing a RA Corona Gorda for the large format in varnished box of 50 and a ERDM PC for small format.

Elric and I seem to be on the same path in regards to our aficion to the RA line... :-P

I would like to see a Ramon Allones Cañonazo for the large size...

And a Partagas Seoane ala the Exquisito from Cohiba that would force the smoker to draw ever so slightly to get that sweet spiciness that is the Partagas trademark...

Agree on the PL magnum. VR lacks a small format (TPC) size though.

For the Large format, personally I would love to see a Lonsdale size but I think the Robusto is big enough, and in a Por Larranaga blend...it would be very nice!!!

For the small format a RA blend is great, but I would like to see it bigger...more like a minuto.

PL Magnum....hmmm,sounds interesting.I wouldn't mind a pyramide or beli from the PL line,either.

I've been hoping that VR would come up with a small cigar...a minuto by them would be killer!I also like the thin gauge RA idea....those would have to be tasty sticks!

Large format PL - torp, belicoso...I do like the robusto and magnum idea also.

*I do think any custom cigar should be released in wooden SLB's in 25 or 50 cabs.

I'm confused. Are you asking us for our wished for blend, or just a size? How many of us have even tried such exotica as a PL Magnum?

Damned strait, what the hell do I know about that fancy talk. RA corona gorda sounds good. PL Mag sounds like it would be an ass kicker. IF they would be any more stout than my PLPC not everyone could take them.

both por lorranaga and allones are good marcas for expansion. i would like to see some of the currently rolled specific market releases opened up to the global market, especially the ra beli.

Mmmmmmmm. PLPC Magnum. Gets my vote. And Im with most everyone else...anything Ramon Allones in the small format.

That RA Beli is excellent...just a shame that it went through the UK market(prices!).:-|

I think the PL - Magnum and R.A. - Corona Gordo would get great sizes and represent their lines well.

I like the canonazo or dobles for the large format. I don't have enough experience to

choose a small format, or blends for either.

I am very concerned with the blend and construction, not so much so with the roller. I would be happy to have 5 rollers under the supervision of someone I respect such as Hamlet or Arnaldo for the contract period.

The aim here is to release an exclusive yet affordable unique cigar each year....which celebrates the blend and vitola just as much as the roller/s and blender.

A PL Piramide or Robusto would be great. How about an RA Corona Extra or Corona Gorda?
