Ben Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Somehow I can't imagine they sell Monte A's by the boxload.
thschrminm Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Just a guess but I am thinking Guantanamera aren't hot sellers with the clientele Rob and Lisa cater to...

cvm4 Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Those are some of the ones I'd expect to move fast! Got a couple favorites in the "top sellers" category. :-D
Trevor2118 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 » Top 10 worst movers are : » » 1. Belinda » 2. Los Statos » 3. Troya » 4. Gispert etc...................... Hi, just wading through some "back topics". Interesting to see that 3 of your top 4 worst movers have been discontinued in 2006, and the other 1 has been reduced from 3 styles down to 1. (You must have some pull over in Cuba......maybe they think that think you are the real El Presidente). These sort of snapshots are extremely usefull and interesting.....keep them coming (in your spair time of course :-D).
PorscheC4S Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I wonder if Rob's descriptions of the different cigars hold a lot of weight with the purchasers. I have been buying 3 to 5, generally, of different sticks to find out what I like enough to get by the box. When selecting, I've used his honest and matter of fact descriptions to guide my choices. Out of the top ten best movers, I've bought nine in this first month as a customer. By the way, I find it extremely refreshing to read the purveyor/owner has written about a particular stick, "not a big fan of ..." or "the draw can be suspect". It seems he would rather sell you one cigar you really like, than ten you don't. Not only is it honest, but a very good long range business strategy.
El Presidente Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Just commencing the revision of all comments + inclusion of Quai d'Orsay etc etc + accessories I will also link comments to specific reviews in our FOH review section. There will also be a facelift for the cigar czar site. Nothing 200 hours won't fix

I agree, this is unique to Rob, other sites describe every cigar as a dream come true. Whether I agree or not, I like getting his honest point of view.
Havana Joe Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Thanks for the info Prez...I was curious myself to see which cigars were the most unpopular.

I buy almost nothing on the top 10 list. I have RASS and PSD4s, but the last box I bought was well over a year ago. » » So on the LGC #2s are they well aged then? Wonderful floral, honey, and herbaceous flavors in a mild to medium context. I agree with the YUM YUM part.:-D
Mel Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Perfectly understandable list. I would have expected most of his mail out private clients to be desiring the top end cigars. The last two on the unpopular list are more of a surprise. I have avoided several cigars at the advice of the Rob or Lisa. Just once I ought to get some of his rooted stock to see what it's like.
DocRKS Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'm very surprised with the inclusion of the SLR "A" on the unpopular list...... I quite like these......

Ditto, Thats when I am contemplating a purchase that I haven't had before, I look around at many reviews and always include Robs at CC as one I give weight to.
El Presidente Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 The unpopular list does not necessarily mean bad. In many cases the botom cigars listed are simply "unsexy" to the general public.
