I am headed to Cabo in a few weeks and I guess the spot I need to head is J and J Cigars which is the LCDH down there. I've never been to Cabo before but it is only a 2 hour flight and now that I am making some good money, it might be somehwere my wife and I can go ever few months.

With that being said, does anyone know how much a locker at cigar shops like these cost? Is it a yearly fee? I know a local shop here in CA charges $450 a year. I thought it might be cool to purchase a box of my favorite smokes and a few singles and just let them age and have them ready when I visit. Thoughts?

$450 p/a sounds damned expensive.

» I guess not too much experience with purchasing lockers here!

I'm using the Friends of Habanos Locker - works perfect

It's free and they lock it away for at least 6 months ;) I'm keeping around 250 cigars (12 boxes) or something and keeps adding inventory all the time. I'm hoping to "forget" some of the boxes and "find" them when they are really mature and great smokes :) I have some EL's mainly and other future smokes likes BGM and some boxes for shorter storage 6m-5yrs like Monte 2 and 4, Bolivar Royal Corona, Partagas and Sancho Panza

Every vendor has their own policy. Some charges, some don't. For those who don't, it usually depends on how good of a customer you are. But to me two things that are most critical to storing your stuff with that you need to ask yourself:

1) How much do you trust them? This is paramount to me and that's why I use the vendors that I used.

2) How good is their storage (temp and humidity) and how much attention do they pay to their storage?

I don't have any experience with LCDH Cabo.
