Today I received my PB207 back from Blazer after having to send it in for service -

it never worked properly. I'm happy to say that so far, it ignites first try, no more

sputtering or flickering. Kudos to Blazer for standing behind their product.

The downside was that it took just over four weeks to get it back. In the interim. I

went back to my trusty Zippo, which has never let me down. But after a few cigars, I

ran out of lighter fluid. Not wanting to buy more, as I have two large cans of butane

for the blazer, I resorted to matches....little tiny stick matches......that would barely

light a cigarette. It only took half a dozen or so to get a churchill going.......

:lol2: Well done Blazer. It is good to hear of great service.

I hate those small matches. Got stuck using them towards the back end of the Bali week away after my lighters ran out of Gas. Lighting a cigar in a prevailing breeze with those suckers is an art form I never mastered.

» Great lighter! CG-001

At times, I wish I went with the CG-001, especially when I was cursing mine out.

Is the lid hinge sturdy on the 001?

Nice to know that Blazer support is competent if not quick.

Knock on wood, my 10-year (safety-less) old PB207 works as well as the first day I bought it.

No problems with the hinge. Only problem I have found was letting a cigar noob use it. He had the lid open only 3/4 of the way and took a little with it on his cigar journey.

I take it this model has a bigger flame than the Blazer?
