I've just returned back from S.W. France nr Biarritz with two bottles of armagnac :)

I've never really tried much armagnac before but I like cognacs so I bought two bottles:

- Larressingle XO; and

- Marie Duffau 25 years

Cost me about €53 in total.

I tried the Larressingle yesterday with a PSdC#1 and it was a fantastic coupling. The armagnac is simply mind-blowing! Extremely complex - a real job to try and identify the different fruits and other aromas. It is even great to just smell the glass after a snifter.

If you have never tried armagnac it is thoroughly recommended. To those who are connoisseurs, which ones have you tried and can recommend?
