Overall, this is my go-to Punch. I've been enjoying an '03 box, and the '05 box I have sleeping is pretty good too. With all the great 2006 offerings, I was wondering if anyone has tried any RS#11's?

Still haven't seen any yet. New shipments in this week so I will keep my eyes peeled ;-)

Talk about timely . . .

I just got a box of SEP '06. It was a mistake actually. I thought I was getting an '01 box. These showed up. I'm contacting the vendor to see what happened but haven't heard back yet. In the meantime I'm trying to decide if I want to get all huffy and return them regardless or if I should take it as an omen and keep them.

Try one. If it's good, then you can still get all huffy if you like. The vendor might not want to pay the return freight, and offer you a deal to keep 'em.

Whoops! We don't want Rob and Lisa to get onto our tricks...:-P

I also have an ENE'06. I tried one. Very tannic. It was OK, but nowhere near ready to smoke. Really didn't enjoy it very much. That was several months ago. I think I'll try another one anyday now. Hopefully the next one will be a little smoother, however, I doubt it. These will probably kick ass in another two or three years. If you want something that's smoking great right now, try a Mag 46. You won't be dissapointed as far as I'm concerned.

I rarely bust a box within years of when they were rolled and would expect to let these sit a year minimum before even trying, except maybe one to gauge aging potential It's the perspective of the tobacco today relative to other years that would be informative.

I love the taste of the Mag46, though I doubt I've ever had a single one burn straight. It's great to know the youngsters are coming out awesome. Thanks.

Just had one tonight. The only flavors that came to mind were burnt wood, and burnt toast. No, blackened toast. Oh yeah, and the slightly metallic, I just licked an ashtray taste on my tongue. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate this cigar. I actually enjoyed the first two thirds. The last third got pretty rough. It tasted pretty much like the first one I had. This is just not my kind of cigar. On a positive note, the cigar looked like a thing of beauty. Silky wrapper, really impressive. Also, one of the best (pre light) smelling cigars I've had. And it smoked like a dream. Like I said before. This thing needs some time. Hopefully it comes around in 5 or 20 years. Unless you plan on putting a box of these away and forgetting about them for a long time, do yourself a favor and get some Mag 46's to enjoy now or later.

Mine have been outstanding. So good, in fact, that I'm having a real struggle trying to decide whether to smoke another one now, or let them rest for a few years, knowing they will only get better and better.

I say go for it.:ok:
