Ken Gargett Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Picked this up Feb 07 as one of a bunch of singles so assuming an 06. A pale brown but it did look good. Fine construction, if perhaps a little veiny. Opened with quite lovely rich tones but not forceful power. Overall, i expected it to be a little more powerful. Past experiences have been down that line. Lots of tobacco notes, creamy coffee, toasty characters. It was already quite complex and quickly settled into a terrific smoke. Was tops with a mid strength rum. Offered a good draw with an even burn and was nicely balanced. Went right through like this, a lovely smoke, with a very long aftertaste. The last third was very much roast meat, barbecue notes and chicory smoke. 92. Expect these to have an exciting future but already a wonderful smoke.
bassman Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I bought a box of these from FEB 06 & they were so strong rich & earthy I immediately ordered another. Fantastic cigars!
