I am trying to gather as much information on the 2002 re-release of the Montecristo Robusto Jars.

If anyone has some relevant information on this re-release I would appreciate posting the information on this thread. I have asked for a detailed response from HSA but that could take a little while as some of the key people are away overseas. Let me know if you own or know someone who owns an 02 Jar as I have some questions.

Thanks for your help :ok:

I have an 02 Monty Jar purchased from the RyJ factory store.

One of the jars I have is surely from 2002 and has the number "74" burned in the bottom. The other jar did not have a boxing date but I believe it is from 2002 too. This one has a "75" on the bottom.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Gentlemen.

Now if you can ....go look at your 02 jars.

What is the Hologram sticker on the box (if it has one) and what is the hologram sticker on the jar (if it has one)

Look under the Jar. Who was it made by (please check spelling twice).

What is your serial number on the Warranty Seal?

Everything else look OK. No blemishes on the Jar? Positioning of stickers, Cardboard top?

If possible, post some photo's of the jar and packaging (particularly top of Cardboard box and Jar (including bottom).

I am only referring here to 02 date code Jars.

I am in no way scaring the pidgeons here  I just want to get the full story on these and link together some threads.

I assume, we are talking about the 2000 Montecristo Millennium Reserve jar.

I obtained either a fake (what I assumed until just right now) or a re-release. The jar looks okay, compared to MRN. It has the 2000 Habanos sticker/seal in the "left" and the larger new tax seal on the right (BK 217031). I don't see any holographic pic.

The imprint on the bottom of the jar is under the glaze:

Habanos SA

with the little number 84.

Looking forward to more info.

» Don't have the date code (it's not on the jar). I just took some pics. How

Reduce them to >200 and use the upload feature or shoot them to [email protected]. E-mail me when and where you purchased them.

Hello Ron,

Interesting. Do you have a box code on your cardboard box? I will post pictures later of the cardboard box and the inside of the jar. The box has a different lid compared to the 1999 ones.

Love to see a pic of that lid and one from 1999.

Have the cedar sleeve as well, plus a wooden disk. The jar is less than half full, though. :-(

BTW, How did you obtain yours?

My 1999 box looks like the one you show, Rob. Furthermore, both warrantry seals on the box and the (unbroken) jar are without serial. Sorry, no pics for now.
