Sam is a mate and one of the good guys. Heading to the SO Cal 30th of July - 2nd August.

He needs some recommendations on places to stay (He is a tight arse so go easy), cigar bars and a possible get together with a few of you guys.

As far as hotels, a buddy of mine stayed at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza (about a mile or two from Beverly Hills), and said it was pretty nice. Rooms are about $250 a night, and (were, at time, worth the money). Here a link to the expedia page for this Hyatt.

Sam, I'm on the opposite coast and can't be of much help. L.A. is pretty vast - do

you have an idea of what area you'd like to stay?

There's plenty to see. I like the Getty Museum, Venice Beach is fun, etc.

I'm sure that when some of our SoCal members see this thread, they'll have more

There's a group from the LA area who get together regularly at the rooftop bar of the Glendale Hilton. They are members at another board, but some, like Seadub, are also members here. They are an extremely hospitable and fun bunch and would certainly welcome you. Here is a recent thread from Cigar Pass:
