From a box from 2001. Almost all have been excellent, if not top notch. Consistent scores around 91-92. A really enjoyable DC, without being a superstar, they have been quite complex and smooth. The younger ones I have tried have not given near the same pleasure. I put this down much more to the benefits of giving them a few years to age rather than any dip in actual quality of construction of material though I guess we’ll need to wait a bit to finally see. Anyway, lit one while watching the footy on TV and immediately it was obvious that this one was a step up and something special. The hallmark of these has been a lovely nuttiness and it was here in spades. They have burnt slowly and consistently, with an even ash. Really lovely complexity with subtle and long flavours finishing with a great aftertaste. Traces of citrus and lots of caramel. A lovely mature smoke but no need to hurry. Suspect it will get better and better. This one really was a cracker, and did stand out a little ahead of the pack but they have all been good . 94.

One cigar that never did much from me. Bought a box of 01s when in Cuba in 02. Too mild to keep my interest for such a large cigar. Would up gifting a lot of them to friends who like the milder stuff.

Hi Ken. What about posting pics like Rob does when you review a cigar? Or won't he share the camera?:-)
