How many people use these in their humidors to circulate the air? I just got one to go along with the larger fan I have already in there and the Oust fan seems to blow very weak. So weak that I'm not sure it will even do anything. Thoughts???

Hey Patrick,

I use an Oust Fan and know of several people who do as well. I was under the impression that you don't want a lot of airflow, just enough to make sure the RH doesn't settle too heavily toward the bottom of the cabinet.

Ditto here - I use two of them (one in the bottome of the coolidor, one on the top) set to blow 5 minutes apart. As MT noted, I don't think you need a hurricane, just something to keep the air gently moving. I also think they're more effective than they seem. Used for what they were designed to do, an Oust fan can fill a pretty large room with air freshner, so they actually move quite a bit of air.

I had one but quickly threw it away. It doesn't really move that much air...it's true they "fill" a room with scent, but I propose that has more to do with air currents in the room than anything. Once I wired my wine cooler with an a/c computer fan my rh iwas rock solid from top to bottom.

i use them in the coolers, for it being a tight, closed space should work fine. But say in a aristocrat you may need more than one. But for your question they do work well in the coolers, have not put them in the humidor though.

I have used two Oust fans in my 30 bottle Haier fridge. I posted results from a humidity test that I conducted on the Board a while back--and found that even with using these fans I had a lot of humidity stratification (much higher humidity in the lower level). One solution I am using is to be sure to rotate my boxes occasionally so that boxes don't remain in the more humid bottom or drier top for extended periods. I intend to get a computer fan which is reputed to be more effective.
