Cam Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 yeah come on i want to buy some. dont start the story then not finish it Cam - :-D
Ken Gargett Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 i agree. it was possible to get the partagas reserva D4's for a while, despite huge initial demand and they were top of tree. no doubt these will be good as well but a tribute to monte 4's? sounds like a flagship sauvignon blanc. they were apparently smoking them at the gala dinner and giving away small boxes of them to all 800 attendees. hardly exclusive stuff.
cvm4 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I could think of many other cigars they could do besides the Monty #4. Any word on the price point? The PSD#4 Reserva was around $550-$600. I hope they don't expect to get the same from a PC.
Cam Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 thanks for the picture though ken got me all excited :-P say if your ever in New Zealand I have a few bottles of Chateau Latour and Y'quem if you are willing? ^Rob also, Ill provide the wine :-P :-D
Quint Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Sure is a nice looking box. Not my favorite cigar but if the price is right might have to splurge
habanohal Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 If its under $200, I will pick them up. DOnt see how differant tasteing these can be compared to the lineup already

Cam Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 » these can be compared to the lineup already the box is pretty..
Cam Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 ken for gods sake man.. prices please when you know, if you dont, why not?
jqmunro Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 » ken for gods sake man.. prices please when you know, if you dont, why » not? I'm predicting a price of $450 for a box of these. The mark up for the PSD4 was around 200%... and if we assume a MC4 price of $150, even though there are only 20 cigars in the reserva box!

I think your looking at a $6 stick going to a $12-15 stick and a box price closer to $250-300. IMO :-D
Ken Gargett Posted April 1, 2007 Author Posted April 1, 2007 » ken for gods sake man.. prices please when you know, if you dont, why » not? why not? i don't work with rob (could not bring myself to say 'for'). for prices, i can tell you what i paid, not that i have bought any of these, but for actual prices, you need rob or one of his flunkeys (lisa and smithy, i mean flunkeys in the most positive sense).

I have no idea on pricing but $400 USD or $800 AUD sounds about right. HSA point to the clanger of tills as evidence their strategy is spot on. The vast majority of these I think will end up in Spain. I just can't see the rest of the world being caught up with LE Monte 4 PC
Cam Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 but i want some, its my favourite petit corona, cant se myself buying a whole bow, maybe some sticks, if i can
jqmunro Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 » but i want some, its my favourite petit corona, cant se myself buying a » whole bow, maybe some sticks, if i can You'll just have to take a "business trip" to Spain... or you can succumb to the astronomical prices of M.O. )
Mel Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 The Partagas SD4 Reserva was overpriced but one of the best cigars out of Cuba. The big question is will they be that good?

cls515 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Being there one of my favorite cigars, I don't see how they can be improved. For $400 plus change, I'll take 3 boxes of regular #4s. Thank you, drive through.
brian1 Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 $550-600 for these. Same price as the PSD4 Reservas and they were a Robusto! » Being there one of my favorite cigars, I don't see how they can be » improved. For $400 plus change, I'll take 3 boxes of regular #4s. Thank » you, drive through.

I might buy a box of these in 3 or 4 years, with 25% discount, as a favour to a European vendor, if he asks nicely (and begs a little :-D). Seriously, I doubt that these will sell. Maybe in Espaineh? I doubt that, too, given the price!
