CIGARHead
Ok. Here is my first formal review. Im am NOT much for words, but here goes... I recieved 4 JL S1's from someone..me mind fails me;-) At first look, the cigar itself is beautifuly crafted. Nice semi-dark wrapper. Smells fantastic. Barnyard all the way. I knew I was in for a treat. Mind you, I have never had any of the Juan Lopez line. Mind you, I WILL buy a box of the Seleccion No. 1. Just a wonderful medium bodied cigar. From having my ear to the forums it is a very under-rated cigar...maybe it is a secret cigar that no one talks about in fear it will be bought up. The first thing that came to my mind and tongue was this bastard was Heavy Cream with cinnamon spice. There is no need for me to delve into all the flavor nuances as I am just blown away by this cigar...and I am too lazy to think of all the flavors. The burn was near perfect needing nada in the way of a touch-up. Draw was ideal with just a touch of resistance...almost like when you find a beautiful woman and give chase, but she is a bit standoffish....then finally she opens up to you and she's yours. Wait Im married...oh the good ol days:-D On the 0-100 rating scale i would say the Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 1 was a 95. Superb. P.S. - Rob, Please keep 1 box to the side for me. I just know these will soon be flying off the humi shelves.
El Presidente
The finest light-medium bodied cigar in the world. It is the Pinot Noir of cigars. It is what Davidoff strives to be. I am a huge fan

The only thinkg is that e=veryone that I smoked peeled skin off from the inside of my lip. I have had a few cigars that did this. Maybe it could be the heat or the box I went through had tremendous amounts of spice on the end. GO figure?
cybermadhatter
The JL sel. 1 and 2 are both great. I always taste hints of forest; pine maple cedar and wood. » » The finest light-medium bodied cigar in the world. » » » » It is the Pinot Noir of cigars. » » » » It is what Davidoff strives to be. » » » » I am a huge fan » » » Another 1 of my favorites. herfkid
I've not had the Sel. 1, just one lone JL Sel. 2, about 10 months ago. But that's still the most delicious cigar I've yet smoked!
thschrminm
This corona gorda is my favorite creamy smoke... The only other CG that can pull me away from this one is the Mag 46... The smoothness of this smoke is what really surprises me but then again, maybe the aging on the box I'm smoking out of has something to do with it...
