Okay so who does it for you and which is the best?

Me Daniel Craig/Sean Connery - Classic at the start when he shoots the guy and cooly exclaims yes, considerably.

and Movie(s) - Casino Royale and Goldfinger

You decide,

Bond out.

there are better cinematic "movies" and better classic examples of the bond character, but my favorite two for entertainment value are "live and let die" and "diamonds are forever".

I've always been a big fan of Sean Connery.

I mean, the guy's part of my namesake for crying out loud!

However, I thoroughly enjoyed Casino Royale and thought that Daniel Craig brought a great presence, classiness and coolness to a character that, at times, has been cheesy. For example, the wife and I rented "You Only Live Twice" so she could see an example of Connery as Bond. Well, little did I know this was the film where he's turning Japanese. She wasn't impressed and I was embarassed after talking-up the Connery Bond for so long. Don't get me wrong, I've seen most of the other Connery Bonds and always enjoyed them very much.

It seems apples to oranges in some respect but, at the end of the day, Daniel Craig gets my vote for his role in Casino Royale...

I'm a longwinded bastard...........

I have watched every Bond movie made, all in the past year, give or take a coupla months. (got a complete set) I do like Connery, don't care to much for Dalton. I guess my favorite rght now is "A View to a Kill". I've only seen the newest one once, in the theatre, but I have a copy on order. It may soon be the new favorite! As far a spy movies in general, the "Bourne" movies were great, as well as the "Recruit" I hope the new guy does another Bond soon... As a side note, you can see one of the Bonds smoking a MonteCristo Robusto in the movie "Matador". It's pretty good too...

i saw the early ones when i was young (snuck out of school for several days running for a festival) and they made a huge impression on a youngster. t'ball, dr no, g'finger (just read that book a few weeks ago - great read but there is a sensational line when bond thinks of a present to bring back his secretary. it has to be the latest whizzbang gadget - so he gets one of those new fangled ball point pens.

all that said, the latest casino royale a cracker. loved it. has claims. so does daniel craig but i think we need to see a few more before he can be compared with connery. i always quite liked timothy dalton as well.
