The Universales used to be one of my favorite sleeper cigars along with the Rafael Gonzales Panetelas Extra, unfortunately the only places I can find them has them way overpriced. Perhaps I will score a few boxes while I am on vacation in the next couple of weeks.

Last month I bought 2 boxes of La troya - Universales ( RSE Jul 01). They were very cheap ( 30 euros per box , in Madrid - Spain ).

It' s a pity that this cigars will be discontinued, because is a great cigar for this price. A lot much better than Jl piedra, Quintero, Cabañas , for similar price. In the begginig of the smoke they are smooth, but in the end they are stronger, like all good habano.

The box design is fantastic, very beautiful , remembering ancients greeks. I bought another box 10 years ago or more ,and i still keep it:

You can see that there are a lot of differences between the seals. In the oldest The government seal it's bigger and don't have a serial number and don't exists code factory and date. And there is a seal in the front where you can read " Garantizados por Martinez y Cia "

Obviously the box is empty , but i remember that the cigars were fantastics
