Jimmy2 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Rob what Cuban cigar brand has the best all a round product meaning the whole line.
El Presidente Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 » Rob what Cuban cigar brand has the best all a round product meaning the » whole line. Damn tough call as each line has flavour charachteristics which appeal to different palates/tastes as well as different moods. I couldn't live without my Partagas Serie De Connoisseur No 3/2/1. However if I pitched Partagas against Cohiba I would be in trouble. Cohiba Robusto, Siglo II, Siglo 1, Lancero, Siglo IV, Siglo III, corona Especialles, Siglo V It is hard to argue that any other Marque has a similar quality lineup. At their best they are superb. Por Larranaga is also a favourite but currently it is a one trick puppy. So in summary I would have to say Cohiba followed by Partagas.
Mel Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I am really on the Partagas and the Cohiba right now but if there were only one Cugan cigar it would be Bolivar!

I think it really depends on what sort of cigar you like. In terms of body these brands are my favorites: mild - HdM medium - cohiba full - partagas I hadn't been into mild cigars until recently working through a box of HdM Epi #1. They are a bit inconsistent, but when you hit a good one it's really a fantastic cigar.
tigger Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 » Rob what Cuban cigar brand has the best all a round product meaning the » whole line. I'm not Rob, but thought it worth throwing my $.02 anyway. There is no "best brand" for me, because different cigars suit me at different times. That said, I find the Trinidad marque to be of generally excellent quality. Among others. :-D
