dragon Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 A few people have done reviews on the new SD3 EL's and have suggested they are very similar and every bit as good as the original 2001's. I've tasted a couple of the new version SD3's and would disagree in that I still believe the original 2001's were better, both now and even when they were new. Any thoughts?

I hate to say it but I agree with you Dragon. Don't get me wrong, the 06 D3 has legs and shows great promise as does the 06 Monte Robusto. But in their early stages, they are less balanced than the originals at the same period of their lifecycle. 1
shrink Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 A good question. The combination of the words "Partagas" and "Corona Gorda" was just irresistible. I took the bet (or is it the 'bait'?) and got a box to lay down for a couple of years or so. I won't try one until then. Let's hope it develops well. 1
