tigger Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 "Just my humble opinion, but the RASS take about 3-4 years to develop." I would even go so far as to say 5 years for them to begin to really reach their potential. JMO though.
dbowhntr Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I'm really enjoying an 04 cab of RASS right now. Up till now I've been unimpressed with the 04s, but this cab has been very good. I think they suffered from having less than excellent tobacco in 02-03 and I stopped buying them. Until I got this cab, I only sampled a couple of singles from 04, which were mild. The '00-01 RASS seemed to be filled more, with a firmer draw, stronger tobacco and really didn't hit their stride for about five years, when they were fantastic. If I could get another cab of these same 04s I've been smoking lately, I'd wait a couple years and I think they'd be excellent, even though they're filled less. Or, if these 06s are showing some strength and aging potential, it may be time to lay down a couple of those cabs for 4 or 5 years.
